Cue that piano score, it's Tom Cruise lawyering! Modern day audiences know Tom Cruise as an action star, but he's got range people! He likes eating eggs naked. We take on this John Grisham adaptation, directed by Sydney Pollack, this week on the show.
I watched The Firm in theaters all the way back in 1993, and I remembered liking it, but not really willing to go back and watch it again. I'm glad we did it for the show, because it was great to revisit the greatness that is the late Gene Hackman. He could read the phonebook and make it brilliant. But that's not all. Everyone is performing at a high level thanks to a smart script and a great director. Plus, Wilford Brimley is a bad dude in this?! Not the Quaker Oats guy?!
The Firm
