The Mikes travel back in time and across "the pond" for this episode of Forgotten Cinema as they talk about the 2016 film, Sing Street, written and directed by John Carney.
Butler and Field talk about the sights, sounds, and life of 1980s Dublin. They discuss the importance of the relationship between Connor and his older brother as well as the burgeoning romance between Connor and his crush, Raphina. The Mikes also comment on the way that the film handles the characters as they create their band and then their music and videos and the truthful way in which it is handled.
So grab your popcorn and soda, please notice the exits at the front and rear of the auditorium, and settle down for Forgotten Cinema.
